Australian Bullion Company is a Melbourne precious metals wholesaler and retailer founded in 1972. The business operates from Level 10 of the Wales Corner Building at 227 Collins Street in central Melbourne and is registered in Australia under ABN 83 616 329 581. It deals in gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars and coins, and distributes LBMA-accredited ABC Bullion gold bars and silver bars. From its early years the company also poured its own branded silver and gold ingots, and these vintage bars remain collectible on the secondary market.
Beyond over-the-counter dealing, the company offers vaulting and storage, pool allocated gold and silver accounts, and SMSF (Self Managed Superannuation Fund) investment services, serving individuals, businesses, trusts, SMSFs and financial advisers.
In July 2024 Australian Bullion Company was acquired by GBA Group, the family-owned Gold Bullion Australia business established in 1980, alongside Melbourne Mint. As part of the group, its customers can transact at GBA Group locations across Australia.
