As Good As Gold Australia is a privately owned Australian precious metals dealer founded in 2013 by brothers Darryl and Brian Panes, with Jarrad Panes joining to build the online side of the business. The company was incorporated as As Good As Gold Australia Pty Ltd in July 2015 and is headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia. In November 2022 it opened a showroom at 257 Collins Street in Melbourne's CBD.
The business started out selling a single product, the Canadian Maple Leaf silver coin, and has since expanded into a broad range of gold and silver bullion sourced from international mints including the Perth Mint and the Sunshine Mint. It also produces its own branded gold and silver bars in multiple weights, along with proprietary Freedom gold and silver coins.
Alongside dealing, the company operates KWS Vaults, a private vaulting facility in Adelaide housed in the former Reserve Bank of Australia headquarters building on Victoria Square. The vault provides custodial storage with biometric access and private viewing suites, accessible by appointment. The dealer also produces educational content on precious metals markets through an active YouTube channel, including video interviews with international commentators.
