Bare Bones Bullion Silver: frequently asked questions
-
Bare Bones Bullion is the entry-level hand-poured silver line from Yeager's Poured Silver (YPS), a small family operation based in Ohio, USA, founded in 2012. Every bar is individually hand-poured into moulds machined in-house, giving each piece a slightly rough, textured finish unique to the poured process. Available in Classic rectangular and "KitKat" elongated shapes, ranging from 1 oz to 5 oz in .999 fine silver.

Bars and rounds each have trade-offs. Bars often carry lower premiums per ounce at larger weights and stack efficiently. Rounds, being coin-shaped, are familiar to more buyers and can be slightly easier to resell. Hand-poured bars like Bare Bones Bullion typically carry a modest premium over generic machine-struck bars because of the artisan process. Storage and liquidity are broadly similar for both forms.

All Bare Bones Bullion products are .999 fine silver, meaning 99.9% pure silver content. This is the standard investment-grade purity for silver bullion bars and rounds. It is higher than sterling silver, which is only .925 fine and contains copper to add hardness for jewellery and tableware use.
