About Knights Bullion
Knights Bullion: The Bullion Counter of a Stratford-upon-Avon Jeweller
Knights Bullion is the bullion division of Knights Jewellery Limited, a family-operated business founded in 2013 and incorporated at Companies House in February of that year (company number 08401399). It trades from a walk-in shop at 42 Wood Street in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, open six days a week, where customers can buy bullion over the counter alongside the firm's fine jewellery lines under the Knights Fine Jewellery name.
The company is a member of the National Association of Jewellers and states supply chain affiliations with The Royal Mint, the Swiss refiner Metalor, Umicore, and the Heimerle + Meule Group through Cooksongold. Its bullion range covers gold and silver bars and coins, and the business also buys precious metals, including scrap, and offers UK vault storage. Beyond the shop and its online store, Knights Bullion has taken a stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show in Birmingham, putting its gold coins and bars in front of collector audiences at consumer events.

Investment-grade bars from LBMA-accredited refiners carry a stamped fineness, weight, refiner mark, and unique serial number that you can cross-check against the refiner's published serial database. Coins from sovereign mints have security features such as microprinting, edge lettering, and laser-frosted details that are difficult to replicate. An XRF (X-ray fluorescence) tester or ultrasonic thickness gauge can verify metal composition and density non-destructively for bars where provenance is uncertain.

Buying bullion in the UK does not trigger a reporting requirement to HMRC. Investment gold is VAT-free at 0%; silver and platinum carry VAT at 20%. When you sell at a profit, Capital Gains Tax applies: the basic rate is 18% and the higher rate is 24%, with an annual CGT allowance of £3,000.
