About UK Bullion
A Wolverhampton Bullion Dealer and Refiner
UK Bullion is the online bullion arm of Group International Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales in 2002 and based in Wolverhampton, where it operates from Innovation House on Stafford Road. The same legal entity also trades as The Gold Bullion Company and CashForYourGold.co.uk, and it runs an on-site precious metals refining plant at its Wolverhampton base. The premises are appointment-only, with a customer reception area and on-site parking, and the company holds a member listing with the National Association of Jewellers.
The business deals in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bars and coins at both wholesale and retail level, distributing products from The Royal Mint, PAMP, Perth Mint, METALOR, Umicore, Valcambi, Argor-Heraeus, Emirates Gold, and Istanbul Gold Refinery. It also buys scrap precious metals, testing them with X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and weighing them on Trading Standards-compliant scales, with a video-link option so customers can watch the weighing process remotely.

In the UK, there is no obligation to report a bullion purchase to HMRC. However, Capital Gains Tax applies on disposal if your total gains exceed the annual exempt amount (£3,000), with rates of 18% for basic-rate taxpayers and 24% for higher-rate taxpayers. Investment gold is purchased free of VAT. Reporting requirements differ in other countries, so check local rules.
