Liechtenstein-based numismatic firm founded in 1970, known for developing innovative minting techniques including proprietary SmartMinting high-relief technology. CIT designs and commissions coin programmes for sovereign issuers worldwide, with physical striking carried out by manufacturing partners, principally B.H. Mayer in Germany. The firm holds a long-standing relationship with Palau dating to 1992, when it produced the world's first mint-colorized legal tender coin for the republic. CIT's Palau programmes include the Hunters by Night series and numerous collector coins. It also develops programmes issued under Cameroon and Cook Islands legal tender, including the Legacy of the Pharaohs series for the Cook Islands.
