The Vikings series from Mason Mint features silver rounds depicting a Viking warrior at the gates of Valhalla on one side and a longship crewed by Berserkers on the other. Produced by this ISO 9001:2015-certified US mint, the rounds are available in two weights: the 1 oz standard and a 1 kilo format. Both are struck in .999 fine silver.

The 1 oz round comes in two finishes. The Brilliant Uncirculated version has a standard mirror-bright appearance, while the Antique Finish variant undergoes a post-strike chemical treatment that darkens recessed areas to emphasise the relief detail, giving the round an aged, "Old World" look. The obverse depicts a Viking warrior wielding an axe, standing at the entrance to Valhalla. Inscriptions read "VALHALLA" and "VIKINGS" alongside the year, weight, and fineness markings. In Norse mythology, Valhalla is Odin's great hall in Asgard where warriors killed in battle are received by the Valkyries and spend eternity feasting and fighting in preparation for Ragnarok.

The reverse shows a Viking longship sailing through rough seas, crewed by a group of Berserkers. The inscription reads "BERSERKERS" with the phrase "ODIN OWNS YE ALL" below. Berserkers were Norse warriors famed for fighting in a trance-like fury, their name giving English the word "berserk." The claim that "Odin owns ye all" reflects the Norse belief that all warriors who die in battle belong to Odin, collected by his Valkyries from the battlefield.

The Antique Finish variant applies a chemical treatment after striking that artificially ages the surface. This process darkens the lower relief areas while leaving the raised surfaces brighter, creating contrast that emphasises the design detail. The technique is used across several Mason Mint product lines and is the primary visual differentiator between the two available finishes.
